Cuttings
Rooted cuttings are grown in isolated beds which increase the control over the root area. This enables the production of many rose varieties, with their roots and without grafting.
Since production only takes 2 months, less resources are needed to produce and breed the mother-plants as well as grafting work, which makes rooted cuttings cheaper than mini-plants. The lower price yields an increasing market penetration as more and more breeders strive to breed varieties compatible with this growing method.
